Update from 11/5/2021: heh. Posted this almost 3 years ago and still haven't 'taken the dive' / 'taken the leap (of faith)'! (of starting from scratch as a self made individual and being adventurous and living out of a car / being homeless. Not sure what to think of that. As a young adult (early 20s) I had read many 60's countercultural books and idealized the free-spirited, footloose and fancy free wanderer.
Now as a 44 year old with sleep problems and back pain, lol, who enjoys few things more than sitting in front of a space heater on cold winter mornings...I'm not sure I'll ever do that!
I did 'do that' a few times, though, to be fair. Slept in a tent in Olympia, WA. Hm.
